Job Description
- Designs, creates and develops software code, writes test cases, establishes design patterns and frameworks, and contributes to best coding practices
- Responsible for collaborating with a team of software designers and developers to deliver high quality internally designed software and processes within budget and on schedule.
- Participates in full software development life cycle delivering robust high-performance applications and services adhering to team and corporate standards, guidelines, and policies
- Provides work breakdown and estimates for small software development tasks. Reports status updates for areas of individual responsibilities in projects on timely basis.
- Guides and mentors more junior members of the team in regards to the object-oriented and functional programming paradigms / languages
- Facilitates the discussions regarding design processes and frameworks, etc.
- Promotes Agile architecture and development on the project
- Investigates the design implications of incorporating analytics into solutions and delivering information to users through a variety of interfaces
Qualifications
- 7 years of proven experience in designing, architecting, leading, developing, coding and testing of large-scale business applications and frameworks.
- Excellent experience with technologies like C#, .NET, ETL tools, AWS based technologies such as Lambda, S3, IAM, SQS, EC2, ECS, Redis, DynamoDB as well as deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, etc.
- Ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology, provide technical thought leadership
- Ability to drive the architecture of systems to provide a highly scalable and highly resilient design and infrastructure to support our products.
- Demonstrated excellence with N-tiered architecture, SOA, REST Services, JSON, XML, AWS, data engineering and productionizing the cloud-based architectures
- Experienced at developing elegant-yet-simple systems using best practices and design patterns
- Solid experience and understanding in the following technologies and tools: cloud-based design, AWS Services, continuous integration/continuous deployment, automation tool experience– Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo etc.
- Highly experienced at leading technical solutioning and guiding project’s technical and architectural direction. This is not a management role, but rather an individual contributor technologist role.
- Excellent understanding of programming design concepts and software development processes and methods, Agile methodology, Scrum teams and best practices, etc.
- Superior organization skills, skilled at recognizing priorities and keeping a team focused on most important features
- Must have passion for development and latest technologies
- Experience with Test Driven Development, Unit Testing, etc. and Use Cases.
- Leadership and ability to guide architecture, design and various technical meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
