Typical Responsibilities of a Senior Deviations Investigator:
The Deviations Investigator must be able to communicate effectively in a group and argue/defend conclusions derived from the investigation process. Ensure deviations are fully investigated, well-written, and addressed and closed in a timely manner. Work closely with department subject matter experts to obtain pertinent information necessary to write/close deviations. Utilize root cause analysis tools and work cross functionally to implement effective CAPAs. Interview personnel involved and observe workspace where occurred to determine root causes.
- Deviation investigation experience
- Work together with all Technical Writers and help them manage their work, track progress and performance on investigations and CAPA closures
- Ability to write investigations
- Serve as the main point of contact for the technical writers (investigators) – understand pain points, escalate when necessary and through appropriate channels
- Help develop a strategy to manage overall number of contractor working on investigations
- Help to determine strategy approach for assignments
- Works well within company processes and procedures
- Completes work with a limited degree of supervision
- Complete risk assessments
- Ability to assist co-workers when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, biomedical/biochemical engineering, biological/chemical sciences or equivalent required.
- A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years relevant work experience in Deviation investigations
- Understanding of biological or pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
- Attention to details and accuracy
