What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems & Control Intern - Localization position at Verity?
Mission:
Verity is seeking a Systems & Control Intern to join our Localization team. This team is at the forefront of developing sophisticated features for our industrial indoor drone systems. We focus on enhancing the technology that allows drones to precisely localize themselves in indoor environments, specializing in the creation and maintenance of fast, accurate, and robust mapping and state estimation algorithms.
Your Role:
- Design, develop, and improve existing and novel algorithms related to our industrial vision-based localization system
- Identify and contribute to improvements of tools and processes related to deployment and manufacturing of our localization technology
- Engage with complex drone localization challenges, gaining practical experience in systems & estimation and software engineering techniques in a team of dedicated engineers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and take ideas to production
Your Experience:
- Degree (BSc) in robotics, computer science, or relevant field
- Strong academic record and demonstrated ability to convert theory into practice
- Practical knowledge of C , Python. Knowledge of collaborating on code using git is a plus.
- Deep understanding of state estimation, systems and control is highly desired
- Knowledge of machine learning and computer vision concepts is highly desired
- Creative approach to problem-solving
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
