What you’ll be doing...

The Strategy & Operations team is looking for a Procurement Analyst to provide strategic operational support to a wide range of key initiatives. The Strategy Ops team provides custom project management services in a rapid pace, constantly changing environment. In this role, you will play a critical part of the project delivery organization. You will be responsible for all aspects of the procurement process, invoice management and vendor management for all Strategy Ops, creating the requisitions, processing invoices, and reporting for accrual purposes, as well as ad-hoc projects including working with third party vendors, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to achieve the Strategy and Ops Organization priorities.

  • Create requisitions for all the cost centers under Strategy and Operations.
  • Maintain and foster a effective relationships with budget leads.
  • Maintain and foster effective relationships with Sourcing to ensure projects are being approved following the payment terms negotiated with vendors.
  • Maintain and foster effective relationships with AP and GVP to ensure all POs and invoices are staying on track and being processed in a timely manner to ensure vendors are getting paid accordingly.
  • Maintain and foster effective relationships with finance to ensure accruals and reporting are on track in OL.
  • Route invoices internally, facilitate with Accounting and Finance and key stakeholders ensuring payments are made in a timely manner, escalating as necessary and stewarding teams through process.
  • Conduct project and program reviews with stakeholders to ensure projects are on task, and remain on schedule.
  • Develop and deliver project reporting for assigned projects, including critical analysis of project status, potential risks, and continual process improvement.
  • Execute on orders in quick, rapid succession to provide top level service and delivery to our teams.
  • Process and follow through our SOW creation, partner/vendor onboarding, accounts payable, and sourcing needs.
  • Perform ad-hoc purchasing requirements, P-card cards.
  • Manage the relationship with our internal clients addressing any procurement/sourcing/AP/GVP inquiries regarding project status, funding, sourcing, and any specific needs they may have.
  • Provide clear, concise communications with the internal client, third party vendors, and internal Verizon resources.
  • Be the central hub for collection of all information and ensuring that relevant stakeholders have the information that is required to move assigned projects forward.
  • Develop and maintain reporting for assigned projects, including critical analysis of project status, potential risks, and continual process improvement.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office on days set by your manager.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and 1ERP systems

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Expertise with GSuite including sheets, slides, and docs.
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understand expense card management processes.
  • Experience with Verizon's ERP systems, vendor on boarding, payment and sourcing processes, capital and expense policies.
  • Ability to manage financial and budget outlooks and reporting for the team.
  • Experience program managing and updating a portfolio of strategic projects on a weekly basis
