What you’ll be doing...
In the rapidly changing Verizon Consumer Group line of business, you will leverage your SAP skills to accomplish the following:
- Apply your deep understanding of Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Logistics processes with a 3PL and Order to Cash processes to solve business process problems presented by the business.
- Engage with the business stakeholders to understand the business context and the details of the business needs in non-technical business terms.
- Map the business needs and requirements to the capabilities of the SAP application platform.
- Perform a fit gap analysis to identify which business needs can be met with SAP delivered functionality and which ones will require custom development.
- Develop functional designs for the custom extensions.
- Ensure that designs of custom solutions are optimized both from a technical design perspective as well as usability of the application.
- Engage with developers to ensure the functional designs are correctly mapped to technical designs.
- Partner with middleware teams and interfacing applications to ensure development needs across the business process are identified.
- Develop a delivery plan that includes all development needs across SAP, middleware, and external systems.
- Lead the execution of the delivery plan.
- Engage with management and executive leadership to ensure risks and dependencies are well understood.
- Implement solutions in a coordinated fashion to ensure the best business outcomes.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience.
- Direct experience as an SAP Techno-Functional expert.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Detailed and in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end Supply Chain, Inventory Management and Logistics processes in partnership with multiple 3PLs as well as Order to Cash on SAP with significant and demonstrable knowledge of the details of the business process and related system configuration.
- Recent experience in leading functional and development teams in delivering business critical SAP solutions.
- Knowledge across all other ERP functional areas including as FI/GL. FI-AP, AR, Project Systems, Fixed Assets, etc.
- The ability to understand business processes and map the process onto the SAP platform across all functional areas.
- Detailed understanding of integration mechanisms between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- The ability to perform the detailed functional analysis that defines the gap between business needs and SAP delivered functionality, and the ability to design custom solutions where appropriate.
- Experience and ability to develop detailed functional specification documents , partner with developers, middleware and basis in the development of the solution.
- A demonstrated ability to innovate and find new ways to solve problems using both SAP and non-SAP technologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to identify key stakeholders and develop strong working relationships.
- Leadership abilities to professionally navigate contention and conflict.
