About the Position:
Finishers are responsible for final technical and aesthetic operations. Responsibilities include fitting of the Headjoint and Footjoint, fitting of the mechanics, installation of springs, pads, and corks, as well as all adjustments and polishing as needed. The position demands excellent time management skills, a high degree of manual dexterity, patience, and openness to feedback. Attention to detail and the ability to work cooperatively will lead to success.
The ideal candidate would have 2 – 3 years of experience with detailed mechanical assembly, metalworking, and bench work, though we are open to training motivated candidates without such experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Ability to play the flute or another musical instrument is a plus.
The position is based in Maynard, Massachusetts at our workshop.
