Vernis & Bowling's Charleston, South Carolina office is seeking paralegals to join our Workers’ Compensation team.
The ideal paralegal candidate for this position will have a , although all candidates with Workers’ Compensation experience will be considered. Hybrid in-office work is a possibility for the right candidate.
:
- Knowledge of South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act
- Experience creating medical chronologies through detailed medical record review, this includes continual updating to chronology once new records are received
- Corresponding with physicians
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, i.e. motions, subpoenas, notices
- E-filling
- Review and receipt of e-service mail and US mail
- Document management
- Scheduling, calendaring, preparing hearing exhibits and hearing binders
- Manage deadlines timely
- Exhibit workplace professionalism, teamwork
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
