What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator position at Vernon Memorial HealthCare?
Newly created limited part-time position available for an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. This position will be scheduled approximately 16 hours per week and will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the emergency preparedness program for Vernon Memorial Hospital.
This includes planning and advising disaster response or crisis management activities, providing disaster management training, and coordinating and maintaining emergency plans and procedures for all hazards. The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator ensures compliance with relevant regulations, coordinates drills and exercises, and fosters collaboration with external agencies and community organizations.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous emergency management experience preferred or combination of education and experience with sufficient knowledge in the principles and practices of healthcare processes, functions, and systems. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to present information to staff, administration, and board of directors. Proficient in Microsoft including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
