The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing excellent service to customers and ensuring that all options to resolve customer concerns and/or requests are exhausted.
- Answer inbound calls from customers through an automated dialer system and communicate account information in a professional and efficient manner.
- Accept and schedule payments for customers in accordance with department guidelines.
- Participate in welcome call dialer campaigns and assist customers with any questions they may have about their new relationship with Veros Credit. Also participate in outbound call dialer campaigns.
- Routinely communicate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and route customers to the appropriate department as needed.
- Evaluate the customer’s concern and/or request to determine the best solution and educate the customer on any required course(s) of action.
- Update account information in accordance with established procedures and security guidelines and perform accurate account documentation.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence.
- Prepare and submit payment deferment and due date change correspondence.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- 1 year(s) of experience in the customer service and/or collections field, preferably in the subprime auto finance industry.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.
- Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
