- Manage all benefit programs and vendors to include strategy, annual analysis of benefits offerings, open enrollment, administration, 401(k) audits, invoicing, and leave management.
- Ensure plans meet current and future requirements of the Affordable Care Act regulations and legislation, and ensures statutory compliance with FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA and HIPAA legislation.
- Research, analyze, and report the impact of state and federal laws on the benefits plan design and administration.
- Manage benefits costs, open enrollment, renewal/strategy discussions, enrollment materials, and employee information sessions across multiple countries
- Think creatively to develop a strategy and implement a cutting-edge strategic, wholistic global well-being program that is unique and compelling for current and prospective employees.
- Identify trends and opportunities to modify and improve benefit programs, policies, streamline processes and ease administration efforts.
- Lead the development and implementation of global benefit programs as opportunities arise.
- Manage HRIS carrier connections, validate billing accuracy and manage payment of monthly invoices.
- Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with global brokers, vendors and carriers.
- Responsible for managing annual filings for benefit and 401(k) plans.
- Manage the company’s national wellness program. Identify and create initiatives consistent with the mission and vision of the company and ensure activation across the organization’s multiple offices.
- Manage benefits onboarding and enrollment for new hires.
- Ensure documentation of processes, identify gaps and opportunities for process streamlining and automation.
- Think through and develop forward thinking approach to COVID-19 administration, COVID-19 policies and procedures and other future types of scenarios that may have a broad impact on employees health and well-being, globally.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of global experience in benefit administration, leave management, well-being strategy and vendor management required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field; or equivalent career experience will be considered.
- Industry-specific certification (PHR, CBP, CEBS) preferred.
- Thorough understanding of state and federal regulations relating to benefit plans and all applicable laws relating to benefit administration (including COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA).
- Experience developing and administering benefits plans in foreign countries.
- Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to organize, analyze and present data.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Advanced PC proficiency with strong understanding and mastery of Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Must be client-focused at all times, exemplifying a professional and friendly presence at all levels across geographies throughout the organization.
- Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
