Position Overview: Verra Mobility is actively seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to join our team, championing innovation in hardware development. The ideal candidate will spearhead innovative hardware solutions, lead collaborations with 3rd party design firms, ensure seamless product and manufacturing integration, and provide strong leadership to engineering teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Product and Manufacturing Integration: Drive the seamless integration of innovative hardware solutions across product development and manufacturing phases. Streamline and develop new processes to optimize hardware manufacturability, scalability, and innovation.
- Testing, Evaluation, and Documentation: Oversee rigorous testing and evaluation procedures to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of innovative hardware systems. Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and drive iterative improvements. Document findings and progress reports.
- Innovative Development Leadership: Lead the charge in innovating advanced hardware solutions, emphasizing cameras, radars, batteries, and mechatronics. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to pioneer new solutions and enhance existing solutions with state-of-the-art technology.
- Leading 3rd Party Design Collaboration: Maintain partnerships with 3rd party design firms, driving collaborative efforts to innovate and integrate cutting-edge hardware components. Set clear expectations, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.
- Leadership and Expectation Setting: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. Set clear expectations, milestones, and quality benchmarks, guiding teams towards groundbreaking hardware solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on innovating cameras, radars, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Proven success in leading collaborations with 3rd party design firms and integrating innovative hardware solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities emphasizing accountability, fostering innovation, and effectively leading teams towards achieving groundbreaking hardware solutions.
- 3rd Party Collaboration and Expectation Setting: Proven experience in leading 3rd party design collaborations, setting clear expectations, and ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
- Proficiency in integrating innovative hardware solutions into final products, optimizing for manufacturability, scalability, and innovation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of hardware design principles, CAD software and simulation tools for design and analysis.
