Position Overview
Verra Mobility is hiring a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. This individual will assist the Director of Financial Reporting with the preparation and reporting of external financial reports/SEC filings in accordance with required accounting principles and practices.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports including: balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and supporting information
- Prepare 10-Qs/10-Ks and other documents for filing with the SEC and ensure XBRL tagging is up to date
- Prepare the support binder for each SEC filing, including the GAAP checklist and assist with the Company's SOX compliance process in relation to financial reporting controls
- Prepare the quarterly ASC 326 credit loss estimate analysis by coordinating with various departments within the organization
- Assist in completion of reviews/audits by providing information and explanations to internal and external auditors
- Participate in the research and analysis of new accounting pronouncements
- Research accounting issues as needed and help identify reporting requirements for the Company
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as directed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 2-3 years accounting experience
- Public Accounting experience strongly preferred
- CPA candidate preferred
- Commitment to all reporting and audit deadlines
- Strong Excel skills
- Dynamics / Great Plains software experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact with people cross-functionally
