Position Overview

Provide management and financial accounting support & guidance for international operations, month-end, quarter-end, budget/forecast, cash flow management and payroll related activities.  Will act as the second in command to the Accounting Manager. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide management accounting support & guidance for international operations across APAC and EMEA, and any other sites in which Redflex commences commercial operations. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, analysis of actual results, forecasting of expected results, and budgeting for areas of responsibility
• Coordinate and assist external auditors to complete accurate & timely Statutory Reporting requirements for overseas operations, including Australian, UK, Hong Kong, Israel, India, Malaysia, New Zealand entities.
• Undertake and maintain ledger reconciliations for areas of responsibility
• Prepare and lodge monthly overseas VAT returns
• Provide guidance & support to Accounts Payable to ensure payment batches clear appropriately. Provide hands on support to Accounts Payable function during periods of high activity.
• Manage and provide administrative support for all bank accounts across Redflex (APAC, EMEA and Holdings)
• Daily processing of cash transactions through the bank accounts
• Create and maintain daily and weekly cash flow forecasts for submission to Verra Mobility
• Process all financial entries associated with payroll activity
• Produce and maintain management reports regarding payroll and headcount related activity
• Provide assistance, guidance and support as required for processing of payroll transactions with payroll provider and in-house payroll support
• Engage with external payroll provider; maintain oversight of provider’s compliance with SLAs and drive improvements.
• Provide guidance & support to Accounts Payable to ensure payment batches clear appropriately. Provide hands on support to Accounts Payable function during periods of high activity.
• Other assignments as reasonably required by Redflex
• Timely and accurate Statutory Reporting for overseas operations, including Australian, UK, Hong Kong, Israel, India, Malaysia, New Zealand entities.
• No unreconciled variances in general ledger reconciliations
• Monthly management reporting obligations (actual, forecast, budget) completed in line with management reporting timetable
• All bank accounts kept in funds – nil instances of accounts being overdrawn
• All payments to creditors made on time in line with batch processing for accounts payable
• Payroll processed on time with associated accounting entries posted for monthly financial reporting obligations
• No unreconciled variances in general ledger reconciliations
• Monthly management reporting obligations (actual, forecast, budget) completed in line with management reporting timetable

Qualifications

• Tertiary Accounting / Business qualification
• Recognised post graduate qualification – CPA, CA or other equivalent qualification
• Five years’ post graduate experience in a commercial environment
• Advanced Excel, MS Office skills
• Experience with ERP applications such as SAP by Design, Oracle or other equivalent system
• Experience with use of cash management software is desirable
• Exposure to Business Intelligence software such as Calumo or TM1 is desirable
• Strong analytical skills
