Maine Street Solutions, a public affairs and consulting service of Verrill, LLP, one of Maine's largest law firms, is actively reviewing resumes for a Trade Association Coordinator for our office in Augusta, Maine. As an integral part of the Maine Street Solutions team, this position plays a crucial role in supporting the government affairs and public relations team as well as coordinating activities related to associations for Verrill’s clients. This position involves coordinating various administrative, communication, and event management tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the associations and their members. The Trade Association Coordinator collaborates with multiple stakeholders, including association members, industry professionals, and external partners, to promote the goals and interests of the associations. This is a full-time, hourly position that reports directly to Maine Street Solutions leadership and the Legal Support Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the associations; maintenance of association databases, records, and member information; planning, organizing, and executing association events, including conferences, seminars, and networking sessions; supporting the development of event marketing materials and promotional strategies; managing the association’s communication channels, including email lists, social media accounts, and online forums; drafting and distributing newsletters, press releases, and other communications to keep members informed about relevant industry news, events, and initiatives; submitting new business intake forms for new matters; and providing general administrative support including maintaining calendars, processing incoming mail, drafting and editing documents, maintaining paper and electronic files, and ordering office supplies; and/or performing other various tasks, as needed.
The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent and proficiency with Quicken software are required. Experience with trade associations, marketing, and/or event planning are a plus. Applicants should have proven time management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks successfully, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of producing high quality work in a timely and professional manner, while providing exceptional client service and team support.
