Job Title: Director of Project Management

Location: New Hope, MN

Reports to: President

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture and minimum 7 years of experience in Construction Project Management is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead group of project managers, help with development, mentorship and recruitment of project managers as related to growth of company.
• Review bid documents with project managers and support staff to determine and define scope of work and deliverables.
• Assign PM projects to bid based on revenue goal. Review bids/Proposals before submission with project managers.
• Assist in predicting resources needed to complete projects/company work load. (Example PC, Asst PM staffing).
• Provide direction to Project managers related to contracts and subcontracts.
• Oversight & Collaborate on all project managers’ construction schedule and activities.
• Issue project updates as needed regarding cost and timelines to executive team.
• Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building codes per city, municipality, & State.
• Work with project manager to select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Weekly or bi-weekly check in meeting with project managers, assistant project managers and project coordinators to discuss projects, challenges, and support items.
• Lead Level 10 Meetings and report up to leadership team.
• Work with leadership team to set revenue goals and develop strategy related to potential clients.
• Work with leadership team to develop “Versacon way”.
• Maintain reduced individual project and revenue goals in addition to leadership duties
• Work with leadership to determine company needs related to software/construction project management software.
• Assist President with Business Development and representation at industry functions and company events.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
• 7-10 years of experience in project management within construction
• Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
• Strong leadership and management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
