Overview:
A Nashville warehousing firm is looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join its team. This person will maintain all accounting activities including but not limited to A/P, A/R, general ledgers, reconciliation, payroll, vendor management and other related accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for A/P and A/R to include billing accuracy, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and cash management
- Record, categorize, and monitor income and expenses
- Interface with operations and production departments
- Prepare, issue, and collect invoices
- Act as a "gate-keeper" for all invoice transactions across departments
- Manage payroll including quarterly payroll tax reports
- Cash management through bank deposits and reconciliation
- Prepare financial statements and related financial reports as needed
- Maintain a coherent system of accounts with a supporting filing system
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
- Proactive and motivated work ethic- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and manage many clients simultaneously - time management, organization, and planning skills
- Communicate effectively and professionally with management, co-workers and customers both in writing and verbally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Work with speed and accuracy, improving processes, making recommendations on process improvement for greater productivity and efficiency
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a full-charge bookkeeper, preferably in manufacturing or construction
- Proficient computer skills – Quickbooks, Windows and MS Office (particularly Excel)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
