What are the responsibilities and job description for the CBA - HX21 - Aircraft Quality Control Inspector - Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL) - Patuxent River, MD position at Vertex Aerospace LLC?
Develops, implements and monitors quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Monitors and inspects documentation and performance of aircraft and support equipment maintenance, reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity. Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. May team lead and supervise junior personnel. Specific position training and certification requirements may be required by the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and other maintenance instructions.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED.
- For commercial derivative aircraft, must be FAA certified and have A&P License.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the repair, modification, maintenance and overhaul of
equipment related to individual specialty codes is mandatory. - Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector.
- Minimum of three years (3) actual V-22, UH-1, AH-1, CH-53 or MH-60 maintenance and a demonstrated level of experience necessary to inspect all aircraft and support equipment assigned to the V-22, UH-1, AH-1, CH-53 or MH-60.
- Four years of aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, modification, and flight-line operations performance within NAVAIRINST 3710.1(series) or COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (series) equivalent maintenance systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FAA maintenance programs.
- Demonstrated aptitude to understand and execute project requirements and how requirements interface with the daily maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of scheduled tracking systems.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing aircraft maintenance data systems. Knowledgeable of supply/ logistics policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated technical writing ability.
Other desired experience:
- Qualified Safe for Flight.
- Qualified Work Center Supervisor.
- Two years of NAWC/ NAVAIR experience.
- Previous qualifications such as Hydraulic Contamination, Tire / Wheel and Plane Handler are preferred.
