As the Online Learning Designer II, you will have a comprehensive understanding of how people learn and use that knowledge to improve learning. The Online Learning Designer collaborates with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging, instructionally sound, teacher-led, online, K-8 courses to improve student learning while maintaining compliance with standards. You will:

• Develop partnerships and works collaboratively with subject matter experts during analysis, design, and development to produce quality course materials within established timeframes while accurately representing content and applying appropriate, sound instructional design principles.

• Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhance the learning experience.

• Apply best practices and current research in learning theories and instructional design methodologies.

• Apply an innovative mindset to solving learning design problems.

• Create storyboards for media production.

• Ensure diverse student needs are accommodated through an intentional application of universal design and accessibility best practices.

Simply be yourself and be the one to succeed in this role with:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, Online Learning, eLearning, Cognitive Psychology, Education, or a closely related field with 4 years of related work experience or a Master's degree in above with 2 years of related work experience.

• Experience designing and producing high quality and interactive online courses required.

• Detailed knowledge of learning, instructional design, multimedia, and distance learning theories and principles as well as experience applying design strategies informed by learning and behavioral sciences, instructional design, and multimedia principles.

• Experience using software such as Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite and Schoology
