Vertex is looking for Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our team. The technician role is primarily responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintenance to a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. We specialize in the engineering, design, installation, and service of industrial ammonia and freon refrigeration and air conditioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, trouble shoot, repair and calibrate industrial refrigeration units

• Perform preventative maintenance

• Observe additional maintenance needs requiring attention and report those to the appropriate supervisor

• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• Demonstrated strong customer service skills, ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 10 -15 years’ experience as an Industrial Refrigeration Technician

• Must have experience working with amonia

• Requires standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements requiring full range of motion

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

• Must be able to work in all types of weather

• EPA Universal Certification

• RETA Certification (a plus)

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Must be comfortable with and confident working at heights up-to 40 feet above ground level and using extension ladders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Ammonia refrigeration: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Dallas-Fort Worth, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
