Responsibilities:
- Partner with project and business teams to facilitate the development of an active data governance community, ensure artifacts are maintained consistently and reinforce adherence to the policies and principles of data governance.
- Navigate effectively across business, data management and IT partners to understand the current data structures and processes impacting data with a focus on providing value to the business.
- Organize and encourage cross-functional collaboration and usage of self-service tools by business data stewards, owners and consumers.
- Oversee the creation of the data quality framework assessments.
- Drive the creation of data dictionaries and the data catalog, including setup and ongoing configuration and maintenance.
- Implement escalation procedures for data quality issues captured in JIRA, in collaboration with data stewards
- Provide tailored reporting for various data quality metrics (e.g., outstanding issues, issue resolution, etc.).
- Serve as the primary owner of the Confluence Data Governance site.
- Assist with key data stewardship routines including the Data Stewards Working Group, ad-hoc status touchpoints and offsites.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Finance, or other relevant discipline.
- 5-8 years relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with data profiling and governance tools.
- Knowledge of industry leading data quality, data governance and data management processes and tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of information management, data governance, data quality, data analysis and metadata management topics.
- Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
- Proactive mindset with focus on providing value with thorough data analysis.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
