What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Originator position at Vertical Investments Group?

However we especially focus on real estate investors. Through our group of companies, we have the ability to offer a wholistic full-service approach to clients.
Would you like the ability to supplement your mortgage commissions with ongoing consistent monthly income? We give you the ability to provide your clients with financial products that allow them to buy additional properties.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential borrowers to discuss their financial goals and determine the best mortgage options for their needs
- Collect and analyze financial information, such as credit reports, income statements, and tax returns, to determine loan eligibility
- Guide borrowers through the loan application process, including completing necessary paperwork and gathering required documentation
- Collaborate with underwriters to ensure loan applications are processed accurately and efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing any questions or concerns that borrowers may have
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and changes in mortgage lending practices
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources to generate new business opportunities
Skills:
- Strong math skills for calculating loan amounts, interest rates, and monthly payments
- Experience in financial sales or a related field to effectively promote mortgage products and services
- Familiarity with accounting software for organizing financial information and generating reports
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for borrowers
- Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and processes to ensure loan applications meet requirements
- Understanding of financial services and mortgage industry practices
- Proficient in loan origination software
- Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with clients to secure loan approvals
