Summary:

The Demand Planner will play a pivotal role in analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to forecast product demand accurately. Your primary responsibility will be to develop demand forecasts, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and meet customer demands. Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Utilize statistical models and software to create accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and promotional activities.

·       Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to gather information and insights for forecasting and planning purposes.

·       Monitor and analyze inventory levels, sales patterns, and product performance to adjust forecasts and optimize inventory replenishment.

·       Provide recommendations for inventory strategies, including allocation, replenishment, and discontinuation of products based on demand insights.

·       Regularly review and improve forecasting models, methodologies, and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

·       Prepare and present reports and insights to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.

·       Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and consumer behavior to anticipate changes in demand patterns.

·       Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.

·       Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

 

 

Qualifications:

·       Experience in supplying the arborist, landscaping, fire & rescue, climbing, utility, industrial rope access (IRA) or military is a plus.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or acceptable combination of education and experience

·       Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

·       Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.

·       A proactive approach to problem-solving to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions to optimize inventory and meet demand requirements with a demonstrated ability to implement process improvements

·       Proven experience (5 years) in retail supply chain planning, inventory management, or a similar role within the retail or consumer goods industry.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders.

·       Experience in supporting product lifecycle management from onboarding new vendor partners to exiting products

·       Proficiency in utilizing supply chain and demand planning software and advanced knowledge of inventory management systems. NetSuite and SlimStock are highly preferred.

·       Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
