Eastgate Funeral & Cremation Service is in the community of Bismarck, ND, and we are adding a Funeral Director Intern to our team. We are looking for talented, and caring individuals to join us. Our Funeral Directors/Funeral Director Interns work both arrangements and embalming, upholding our mission of honoring lives and enriching caregivers. What you’ll do:
Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner in keeping with company policies and procedures.
Perform a variety of tasks related to preparation of the deceased: removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing all within a respectful manner.
Build a strong relationship with the community through active involvement in area organizations and participation in charitable events.
Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Ensure adherence to all professional, state, and federal licensing authority, regulations, and rules applicable to funeral service.
Experience you need to bring:
Accountability for serving families in a professional, compassionate, patient, and timely manner, you have a strong dedication in serving others.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with MS Office and social media (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)- yes, you’ll get social!
Strong organizational skills
Educational Requirements:
Degree from Accredited Mortuary Science Program plus additional college credits as required in the applicable state.
Successful completion of the National Board Examination after internship completion
Successful completion of the applicable State Board Examination after internship completion
Valid Funeral Director and/or Embalmer State Licensure after internship completion
Valid Driver’s License
