About the Role
The Capacity & Efficiency Management (CEM) organization is looking for a Senior Capacity Demand Planner to join us in Amsterdam. In this role you will help Client s accurately capture all growth drivers that require client s infrastructure to scale to meet product and business needs. You will contribute towards building a broad understanding of client s consumption of resources across the entire tech stack, identify cost-savings opportunities, and develop simulation models to help client drive cost optimization and improve the accuracy of future forecasts.
This involves close collaboration across multiple engineering organizations to understand current and future architectural considerations, enumerate sources of demand, and identify potential consumption optimizations. Through partnering closely with data scientists to analyze consumption data, you help engineering organizations prioritize efficiency efforts, and improve model accuracy. Your efforts will directly drive significant optimizations with executive visibility in terms of money, time and effort.
What you'll do
An ideal candidate will be working closely with a highly cross-functional team, including product management, engineering, tech strategy, and leadership to help better understand, forecast, and drive down the cost of client s infrastructure. A successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong interpersonal and technical skills, while also being able to present status and recommendations to a senior engineering leadership.
Furthermore, you'll
Partner closely with platform, technology, and product teams to understand their growth, sources of demand, optimize growth models, identify demand forecasting risks and efficiency opportunities.
Develop forecasting models and iterate on model refinement to minimize forecasting errors by developing a deeper understanding of how various client infrastructure components scale.
Derive insights from data to identify opportunities for efficiency and resource consumption reduction across the client infrastructure.
Use statistical modeling techniques to develop northstar metrics and KPIs to help provide a more rigorous data-driven approach to manage the client infrastructure.
Develop simulation models for the client infrastructure to improve our understanding of the various cost drivers and how to best control them, while managing risk, reliability and availability.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and build visualizations to communicate findings to Engineering Leadership.
Present findings to senior leadership to drive business decisions.
Basic Qualifications
4 years of working experience in either capacity resource forecasting, demand planning, in the tech industry.
