Field Engineer - Lorain

Responsible for providing updated, accurate and thorough customer surveys and quotes to the Vertiv Services business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain ownership and responsibility for delivering customer quotations on time
• Identify and initiate conference calls required for RFQ’s 
• Develop statements of work for new technology implementation
• Develop and maintain pricing schedules 
• Facilitate all aspects of quotation process to meet customer’s requirements
• Manage established standard margins
• Ensure accuracy of equipment quoted
• Attend job start-up calls 
• Support TL in the services organization
• Copy all surveys and quotes to the S-Drive or equivalent as required
• Perform all work with safety in mind and ensure that all safety measures are met
• Update Project Management of all quotation activity

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or minimum (2) years of directly related work experience in DC Power and/or Central Office Transport Design Engineering. 
• Familiarity with DC Power and/or Transport industry specifications and testing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently
• Willingness to meet deadlines 
• Good customer relation skills 
• Excellent organization and time management skills 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of key business systems
• Ability to multitask and adapt to constantly changing priorities
