SUMMARY

Security Officers are responsible for the safety, welfare and enforcement of facility rules and policies by all residents and guests using the gate facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:

• Ensuring the safety and welfare of the residents by monitoring facility conditions which may lead to accidents in and around the gates and common areas.
• Writing incident reports and processing according to policy.
• Checking decals and passes and assisting at social gatherings to ensure enjoyment by all residents and guests using the facilities and surrounding areas of recreation.
• Assisting other departments within the facility when needed, as well as supervising high traffic and congestion areas.
• Available for special events parking requirements.

WORKING SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Night Shift: Six hour increments

6:00 pm to 12:00 am and 12:00 am to 6:00pm

7 days a week, up to 30 hours a week. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates both indoors and outdoors as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This role requires a lot of standing and walking as well as listening and speaking.

TRAVEL:

No travel is expected for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Security Class D license required.
• CPR/AED required.
• Must maintain a professional demeanor under adverse conditions.
