Purpose:
Under direct supervision, receives, tears down, estimates the reconditioning of mechanical related customer equipment to ensure they meet current repair specifications, while adhering to all safety and quality features of the machines and plant.
Key Result Areas:
Ensure department process instructions are followed.
Ensure shop safety rules and practices are followed.
Measure and examine completed parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Receiving repair, disassembly (tear down) of repair, evaluate and estimate repair, minor machining, bead blasting and assembly of repair, packing of repair and all related paperwork documentation.
Ensure that repair parts going to all other departments in the facility have necessary paperwork and information for clearly understood work instructions to be followed.
Accepts, performs, and is accountable for efficiency and quality results of assigned duties.
Communicate all pertinent job information with co-workers at shift change.
Make available to maintenance, requested equipment for preventative maintenance.
Utilize and ensure others use all the proper PPE and safety equipment as well as safety standards and procedures.
Notify supervisor of any problems and/or difficulties, as well as possible solutions.
Department is kept neat and orderly at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
Mechanical aptitude
Good safety record
Problem solving
Computer and keypunching
Tooling and machine set up
Working knowledge of basic safety policies and procedures.
