What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at VetCor?
Trusty Vet is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
This is a full-time position with flexible schedule, Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, with the occasional opening task duties for 7am. Our Veterinary Assistants are an important part of our pet care team and help provide excellent care to our patients as well as providing outstanding customer service to our clients. Hourly pay will be determined based by experience.
This position is a great training opportunity for someone that wants to become a Veterinary Technician. We prefer candidates with some knowledge of veterinary/animal handling experiences including:
- Greeting patients/clients
- Lab work
- Monitoring of patients
- Assisting veterinarians
- Pharmacy duties
- Handling medical records
- Capabilities of lifting 40lbs or more
- Handling incoming phone call
- Appointment scheduling
- Educating clients on pet care
