Qualifications:
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Experience with computer programming techniques using analytics software; AND
-Experience using programming techniques and software for working with large data files; AND
-Experience in data analysis and advanced analytic techniques in predictive analysis, data mining and business intelligence; AND
-Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis and clearly reporting findings.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Responsibilities:
As an Information Technology Specialist (DATAMGT), you will:- Lead project teams in response to requests for data analysis support; plans and coordinates project design, development, and implementation including new data management schema, data structures, and access strategies in alignment with specific requests and overall OIG mission requirements.
- Serve as an expert in the interpretation of policies, procedures, and guidelines governing the provision of database management and data analysis support throughout the OIG.
- Develop data models for the technical design and structure of data in the database and ensures models can easily adapt to the unique and changing requirements of OIG projects and data requests; develops new data analysis methods or techniques for resolving customer requests that have not previously been solved or are new and unprecedented.
- Coordinate implementation of database designs and modifications of design characteristics in response to complex performance problems, changing customer requirements, or rapidly evolving or constantly changing database systems.
Salary : $100,948 - $145,617
