Overview
Field Service Technician
As a member of the Service team, your responsibilities include to perform all the activities required to provide technical support to internal/external customers; set up, maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and repair injection molding systems and working with the customers directly to diagnose issues.
This is a travel position that will focus on local and regional travel during the week Monday-Friday. It will also have about 10% traveling through North America. Some weekend work will be required.
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interface effectively across manufacturing, engineering, sales and service functions
- Ability to work with new and evolving technologies
- Strong electrical background and mechanically inclined.
- Strong problem resolution skills with a proven ability to think outside of the box
- Strong customer service skills
- Additional language other than English would be considered an asset
- Ability to write a detailed report
- Flexible to travel to Canada
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 year Technical Associates degree/diploma or equivalent military experience
- Experience with injection molding including assembly, testing, service and engineering including machines, molds, robots and other product handling equipment would be an asset
