What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Consultant position at Veterans United Home Loans?
As a Credit Consultant, you work directly with customers in improving their credit profile. You also assist them in identifying and securing a mortgage loan that is appropriate for their individual financial circumstances.
Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:
Communicate regularly with all clients. Proactively reach out to borrowers for status updates, responding promptly to customer inquiries via email and phone.
Prepare and recommend debt management strategies to meet individuals’ financial goals.
Assess credit reports with clients not currently eligible for financing.
Remain attentive to changing credit and underwriting guidelines, ensuring credit improvement goals remain appropriate.
Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on lender guidelines, as well as the credit rebuilding and repairing processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
