Position Specific Description
Our Central Maintenance & Construction Department is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to join the Lateral Hardening team in Pensacola, FL. This role will help ensure the success of one of Florida Power & Light (FPL) largest grid resiliency initiatives - the Storm Secure Underground Program (SSUP). SSUP will be converting overhead distribution lines to underground across all our service territory over the next several decades.
The selected candidate for this role will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing project management of customer outreach to support the regional Storm Secure Underground Program initiatives. Their direct oversight will aid in the acquisition of easements, municipal relationship management, customer agreements, billing procedures, and mitigation of customer concerns in their region. This position works cross-functionally and has both strategic and hands-on elements which include direct customer interactions as well as leading cross-functional teams. The selected candidate’s success will be measured by the successful completion of projects on-time and on-budget.
