Summary:
VetnCare is seeking a Driver to join our team at Golden State Pet Crematorium! Driver's are essential to our daily operations and are responsible for the transportation, collection and delivery of animals. They share a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients and the highest quality after care to their beloved pets. Must be highly organized, make accurate deliveries and handle deceased pet pickups and returns with dignity and respect. To be successful in this position, you should be comfortable working around deceased animals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high level of customer service to our clients during pick ups and delivery of animal remains on assigned to the route or service area.
- Coordinate and communicate with hospital client and pet owners with a sense of empathy, urgency, professionalism, and thoroughness.
- Maintain accurate records and documents and relaying feedback and information to the office.
- Attend to every detail of business, ensuring proper identification of remains at all times.
- Develop a problem solving resolution plan when issues occur and effectively communicate those solutions to the customer and the team.
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized work area within the vehicle for hospital supplies and ensure proper number of supplies.
- Develop routing efficiencies and coordinate with the office for additional scheduled stops.
- Abide by all state and local traffic laws and report and safety concerns to management.
- Wear appropriate Health and Safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect against hazardous materials or substances that may be present during the service delivery.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
- Valid CA driver’s license and have an excellent driving record
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrable empathy, tact, respect and exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and pay close attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and good administration and record keeping skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
