Relocation, or living within these regions is necessary

a COLORADO and NEBRASKA Nursing Home Administrators license is neccessary , if you dont have those states, you can acquire them - as long as you have a prior NHA license in another state, and have passed the federal NAB exams.

the facilities in this region include

Craig,CO

Denver,CO

Scottsbluff, NE

Hemingford,NE

Bridgeport,NE

Travel to these facilities is necessary, and each facility will be visited in a rotation per week (1 facility visited per week, barring any state surveys)

Job Description: Regional Director of Operations

Department: Administrative Office, All Departments

Supervisor: Director of Operations

General Description

  • Establishes and directs overall operation of institution’s activities, both internal and external, by oversight of the Nursing Home Administrator.
  • Coordinates these activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and national, state and local standards.
  • Oversees cost reporting, licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Duties

  • Participation in New Business Acquisition. Use industry contacts in Nebraska, Wyoming and other States to assist in identification and marketing of facilities for Lease and/or Management Agreements.
  • Manages and maintains policies pertaining to total patient care, personnel, consultants, financial status, public relations, maintenance of building and grounds, under board directives from the Board of Directors.
  • Reviews compliance with established policies and procedures by personnel and consultants.
  • Reviews compliance of institution with national, state, and local standards.
  • Directs the NHA with the selection of competent personnel to supervise activities of all departments.
  • Reviews and frequently checks competence of work force.
  • Regularly checks financial status of facility.
  • Maintains efficient accounting system to meet needs of institution.
  • Directs that forecast budgets be prepared and changes in fee schedules be made to insure coverage of cost of operation.
  • Oversees relationships with community hospitals and other health facilities in the community and coordinates with their services through working and transfer agreements.
  • Represents institution in dealings with outside agencies including governmental and third party payers or sends representative. Includes matters concerning Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
  • Represents institution at top level meetings and institutes and participates in such meetings.
  • Directs repairs and new construction programs, within the financial capabilities of institution, as advised by the NHA.
  • Authorizes purchases of major equipment and supplies requested by NHA.
  • Enters into contract required for ordinary operations of business with the exception of major construction capital expenditures.

  • Required to maintain an active Nursing Home Administrator’s license in the applicable states.
  • Directs Financial and Personnel management
  • Providing for appropriate resident care
  • Maintaining relationships with the community and with other health care facilities, organizations, and services
  • Assuring facility and staff compliance with all regulations
  • Any responsibilities prescribed by facility policy
  • Public relations.
  • Reporting to the Board as required.
  • Know and adhere to patient’s Bill of Rights.
  • Knowledge of Outlook and Excel.

Working Conditions

  • Deals with public, personnel, and residents under all conditions.
  • Travels to and participates in meetings.
  • Expected to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.

Personnel Specification

  • Experience in supervisory capacity in health facility.
  • Must fulfill license requirement of state the organization originates in.
  • Advanced training in nursing home administration through workshops and institutes.
  • Sound knowledge of personnel administration
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, laws pertaining to nursing home operation.
  • Ability to deal with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Knowledge of local economic conditions and ability to adjust cost of operation to meet community ability to pay for services.
  • Ability to keep abreast of changes in nursing home field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)
