Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Opportunity :
The Field CTO will serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor for Veza's Entitlements Management and Intelligence platform.
This role will work closely with the Field CISOs, Solutions Architects, Sales Engineers, and Customer Success to drive successful customer engagements, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and design tailored solutions that address each organization's unique identity security challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in identity security, possessing deep product knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor to prospects, customers, and our solutions engineers.
This role is critical in providing technical excellence and product guidance in both pre and post-sales capacities, including conducting advanced workshops, differentiating our offerings competitively, presenting roadmaps, and establishing best practices.
You will :
Lead technical validation processes, including workshops with architects, security engineers and CISOs.
Sales Support : Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
Assist in responding to RFPs / RFIs and preparing technical proposals.
- Enablement and Training : Equip solutions engineers with the necessary knowledge and tools to excel. Develop and deliver training sessions, best practices guidelines, and documentation to scale the team's capabilities rapidly.
- Competitive Differentiation : Develop and communicate clear competitive differentiators for our products and solutions.
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
Thought Leadership : Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in identity security, entitlements management, and access control;
participate in internal and external training and knowledge-sharing sessions to stay at the forefront of identity security solutions.
- Technical Support : Serve as a technical liaison between customers and Veza's product development and engineering teams, providing valuable feedback and insights to drive product enhancements
- Customer Success : Collaborate with the Field CISOs to ensure customer success as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise, value demonstration and support throughout the customer journey;
conduct roadmap presentations to highlight future product developments and how they align with customer needs.
- Feedback Loop : Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and product development teams to provide feedback on product features, user experience, and market needs to inform product strategy. You have :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in cybersecurity are a plus.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 8-years in a platform owner, technical pre-sales or solutions architect role within the cybersecurity industry.
- Proven track record of successful customer engagements and technical solution design.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity management, and current industry trends. Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies and platforms.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across different functions and influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment. Agile and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions.

At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range can be discussed with your recruiter for the level at which this job has been scoped.
Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
