ABOUT THE POSITION
The Tampa Gulf Coast office is looking for an experienced Landscape Architect. The individual will exercise independent judgment planning and conducting tasks requiring evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard landscape architectural design techniques, procedures, and criteria. Working within a team, you will develop aesthetically pleasing and functional site designs from concept to construction for a variety of private and public landscape architectural projects (e.g., retail, single- and multi-family residential, corporate campuses, mixed use developments, academic buildings, streetscapes, parks, plazas, public spaces).
Responsibilities
- Designs facilities and prepares landscape architectural working drawings and related project documents (e.g., sketch-up models; illustrative plans, sketches, and cross-sections by hand and computer).
- Analyzes design and construction systems, design layouts, and construction features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.
- Develops planting plans and technical details. Creates concept plans, both by hand and computer.
- Writes project specifications.
- Prepares estimates of probable construction costs.
- Conducts site and construction inspections for information gathering purposes, preparing interpretive reports for management disposition.
- Compiles information for proposal preparation.
- Prepares graphics for presentations and public process materials.
- May serve as a representative for projects and deliver presentations.
- May manage and oversee the work of junior landscape designers.
- Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.
- Performs job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of landscape architecture experience with demonstrated professional growth of increased project responsibilities from design through construction
- BLA
- Landscape Architect registration/license (or in pursuit of license)
- Working knowledge and understanding of concepts, practices, procedures, and methodologies in Landscape Architecture.
- Solid knowledge of hardscape and softscape design (i.e., plant identification; plant selection, horticultural and arboricultural practices) and of sustainable design practices.
- Experience with green initiative programs and low-impact design (e.g., LEED, SITES).
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant federal, state, and local regulations and agencies.
- Skilled in using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, ArcGIS, MicroStation).

Salary : $57,300 - $72,600
