We are hiring for a permanent Housekeeping position. We have 45 beautiful condos on the bay front in Newport, OR. This position is 5 days a week, and is year-round employment. Position Summary:
The Housekeeper serves as a key member of the resort’s operation team. The Housekeeper is responsible for general appearance and cleanliness of owner’s rooms and public areas of the resort. The Housekeeping staff regularly interacts with the owners and guests, and as such, is an owner’s impression of VI Resorts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remove any debris from the guest’s room.
- Manage the bed and bathroom linens including: the changing of all linens and towels and making beds.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas; including under and around furniture, and along edges with a crevice tool.
- Clean windows, sills, frames, and spot clean blinds as needed.
- Clean all mirrors, artwork glass, and frames.
- Clean and sanitize all bathrooms. Includes all toilets, tubs, sinks, showers, and floors.
- Clean all doors inside and out including exterior doors.
- Clean kitchen including sink, oven, microwave, countertops and floors.
- Clean refrigerator and disposes of old ice.
- Clean all dirty dishes (using dishwasher or by hand) and put away.
- Replenishes guest supplies.
- Performs self inspection of room after cleaning is complete.
- Return all lost and found items to the front desk.
- Call in all maintenance items to the front desk. Report any and all changes in room to the supervisor.
- Immediately report any and all damaged or missing items to the supervisor.
- Verify kitchen and room inventory.
- Reports completed room to supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED desired.
- Basic math skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to interact with co-workers and guests via verbal and written communication.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality industry.
Physical Demands of the Position:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and will often be required to lift 10 – 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
