GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Assistant Supervisor and/or Supervisor the incumbent will perform that duties and responsibilities required to produce and pack injection molded parts and components. Operators will ensure that parts meet all Quality requirements and certify that all packed and labeled product meet customer requirements. Operators are responsible for following Viant’s policies, practices, and procedures and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow and ensure that all personnel comply with FDA regulations, ISO standards, customer requirements, and SOPs as defined by Viant’s policies and procedures.
Keep workstation clean and neat.
Inspect parts
Pack and label parts.
Move bins to shipping area.
Inspect parts
Keep scrap count
Comply with all safety requirements including wearing all necessary PPE
REQUIREMENTS:
Good communication skills
Organized
Able to work in a team environment
Be reliable and able to work assigned shift
Able to understand written and verbal instructions
Able to take responsibility for accuracy of work
Able to use measuring devices and hand tools
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred
Experience in regulated industry preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work and keep up in a fast paced environment and complete duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Work standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
Significant amounts of bending, lifting, twisting, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, stacking.
Significant use of hands and fingers requiring manual dexterity to handle small parts and operate small tools and other fixtures and devices.
Excellent vision required to perform manual inspection of parts.
Frequently required to life, move, push up to 35 lbs.
CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
The Manufacturing Operator responsibilities and duties are performed on the production floor and/or in the warehouse of a manufacturing plant that can be hot in summer, cold in winter, hazardous, noisy, and dusty. The worker may be subject to:
