A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A LOAN UNDERWRITER

As a Loan Underwriter, you arrive each day ready to review member applications and credit reports.

A Loan Underwriter underwrites direct/indirect consumer loans including personal, auto, signature, home equity and credit cards in accordance with Credit Union policy. As a Loan Underwriter you will collaborate effectively with branch personnel, loan specialists, and other underwriters to ensure that loan application information is accurate and fully complete. You will be responsible for reviewing member account relationships with Vibe Credit Union and suggest additional loan products when applicable. As a Loan Underwriter you are responsible for approving/denying consumer loans within authorized limits and communicating decisions to loan specialists, branch personnel and/or member(s). You will serve as a resource on consumer loan products/services of the Credit Union; respond to internal and external loan related member questions and research.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LOAN UNDERWRITER

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of member services and products
• One to three years of related experience
