What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Vibe Music Academy?
Vibe Music Academy, based out of Indianapolis, IN, seeks a part-time Marketing Coordinator. At a glance, we are a collective of professional music teachers, and we currently teach all over the Indianapolis metro (launching in Cincinnati in summer 2022). Some teachers have home studios or other locations to teach from, others travel to students’ homes, and others do both.
We don’t make players of music. We are musicians making musicians. Here's what we mean...
Jordan plays the piano. He has a lot of natural ability on his instrument, but he sees music as just another school subject or chore.
Cameron also plays the piano. She does not have the amount of natural ability that Jordan does, but she loves playing because she’s discovered what she enjoys and connects with in music.
Jordan quits playing the piano when his parents let him, or when he finds something else that he enjoys more. Jordan may play music, but he never became a musician because he didn’t connect with it.
Cameron stays involved in music in one way or another long-term because she has identified music as an important part of her life.
Cameron is a musician.
Responsibilities:
Update and manage Google and Facebook ad campaigns.
Conduct research on customer behavior.
Review and redesign tracking systems for successful online campaigns, and ensure they are supportive of the organization’s short- and long-term goals.
Maintain marketing budget.
Identify local trade shows, festivals, and other in-person events to set up as a vendor.
Manage Vibe Music Academy’s online blog, and coordinate weekly writing responsibilities.
The preferred candidate will:
Have a bachelor's degree in a related area, such as marketing, business, music business, arts administration, etc. or equivalent work experience.
have strong organizational skills and be fast communicators,
know their way comfortably around Google applications such as Calendar, Docs, and Drive,
have working knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM)/search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
be resourceful and good at problem-solving,
be enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive.
COMPENSATION:
Our operations team members are paid on a twice-monthly basis. Rate of pay is based on qualification and experience. This position will be remote, will likely begin in the range of 5-10 hours per week, and has the potential to grow with us if the candidate demonstrates the interest.
