Victoria College's Adult Education Department is hiring for a full-time Data Entry I position. This position is responsible for assisting with the collection and prompt and efficient entry of data, and for ensuring all PII regulations and program compliance are observed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, key pads, etc. Will be required to sit and reach with hands and arms as well as, sit, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds while loading office supplies and paper. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen. Hearing of light to moderate sound is required by this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enter data accurately and in a timely manner in order that the information be available to the director and staff members for reporting responsibilities
- Review PIRL data and ensure student files are maintained and meet all state guidance and requirements including documentation and credentials
- Review assessment referrals and ensure assessment policies and procedures are followed in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist the Director/Data Entry Team in developing a system for data collection and entry that will ensure accurateness and timeliness for meeting grant and college reporting requirements
- Maintain organized filing system of sign-in sheet/teacher reports/data forms that verify data entry in the state database management system
- Attend training and updates for data entry into the Adult Education state database management system (TEAMS)
- Assist and prepare for local and state monitoring visits including formal and informal audits and on-site visits
- Participate in VC required promotional activities and community events, such as graduation/NAEHS ceremony as required
- Complete annual staff development requirements as determined by SBOE rules
- Serve on VC committees as assigned
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with adult education staff, program participants, business and industry, public and private organizations, and co-workers
- Performs all other duties as requested by Director of the Adult Education Program
Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic Excel and computer skills with willingness to learn advanced computer skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Discretionary judgment regarding confidential information
- Ability to accomplish basic tasks, meet deadlines, and ability to learn and interpret policies and procedures
- Ability to interact with diverse groups
- Willingness to work varied hours and flexible schedule to meet program demands is required
