Quality Inspector

Overview
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the QC Inspector performs inspections and varied quality assurance duties to ensure products meet quality standards.

Shift: 2nd

Responsibilities and Accountability

• Segregate defective or suspect WIP product and customer returns for inspection. Sorting or re-working may be required
• Perform visual and functional inspections in accordance with quality standards and work instructions
• Document inspection results and forward to proper personnel
• Manage non-conforming product area to insure all non-conforming product identified during the production process is inspected, repaired or discarded
• Communicate with QA Manager as necessary to address quality issues and management of non-conforming product
• Perform all inpections and related duties in compliance with QC inspection work instructions.
• Adhere to all ISO / SQF / HACCP personnel GMP practices, conduct and safety policies.

Position Coverage

In the absence of the QC Inspector, due to illness, vacation, appointments or injury, the Continuous Improvement Manager will assign an alternate QC Inspector to perform the above listed position responsibilities.

• Ability to work well with minimum supervision – self motivated and project driven
• High school diploma (or equivalent) or 1 -2 years quality control experience
