Viiva Therapy is a pediatric therapy clinic specializing in the early intervention population of children identified with developmental delays ages 0-3. Our collaborative and interdisciplinary team includes occupational therapy, speech language pathology, physical therapy and infant stimulation services. Our team specializes in the areas of: developmental delays, feeding difficulties, neurodevelopmental diagnoses. You will be working alongside therapists who will be providing training and mentoring to quickly develop your professional and clinical skills. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' motor skills and functional abilities
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of 1 full year working in early intervention
- Preferred prior experience working in feeding difficulties
- Strong knowledge of pediatric development
- Ability to work effectively with patients ages 0-3
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $44.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
