Purpose Create and execute the key areas of the business that include - strategy, business model, capital, organization, facilities, equipment and finance.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Market - Engages in sufficient market study to determine the market need which might be satisfied by the work output of the company. Elements of this market study will include market characteristics, demographics, historical behaviors, market needs, market size, market resources, market sustainability, market shifts, competitors, suppliers and value chains that flow into and out of the market.
- Strategy & Business Model - Engages in activities to create strategic documents that define the enterprise strategy related to its market.
- Engineering Maintains appropriate facilities and personnel to support engineering as a core function to respond to market inquiries, design new products or services, and for sustaining engineering to troubleshoot design, production and delivery issues.
- Integrated Functional Systems - Defines workflow among departments and departmental capacities. Decides what additional organizational functions are necessary and required, and how the functions will work together, and inside each function what are the required levels of work.
- Workforce Planning and Execution Defines the goals to be held in each role within the company organizational structure. Determines effectiveness of team members in current roles, the sequence of key hires, and decisions related to future personnel changes.
- Compensation Determines workforce budgets and appropriate compensation ranges.
- Succession Determines a team member's suitability for promotion and succession planning at all levels.
- Capital & Finance - Determines the required financial resources and sufficient financial buffers to sustain the company, including capital budget, execution, reporting, and cash management.
- Operating Performance Gathers financial data on a frequency that fits the risk tolerance of the President and other stakeholders. At a minimum, on a monthly basis, the President and the CFO will review the statements and budgets related to the following companys balance sheet; companys income statement; companys cash flow statement.
- Growth Management - Maintains and manages a stream of relevant data related to volume growth, its costs, availability of capital, costs of capital, and risk.
- Culture - Determines the operational set of beliefs and assumptions that define the values and philosophy of the company.
- Accountability and Performance - Ensures that each member of the Executive Management Team is properly selected, trained, given appropriate tools and a conducive working environment.
- Facilities - Determines the necessity for facilities that includes future decisions related to growth (contraction), and the resources the business model can accommodate for facilities.
- Equipment Studies the market to determine equipment availability, cost, footprint, installation, workflow, utility requirements, cost of utilities, capacity, cost to lease or purchase and termination penalties.
- Financial Controls and Compliance Develops, in consultation with the company's internal accounting team and external financial advisors, the policies to maintain the integrity of the companys accounting systems and banking transactions.
- Risk Management - Meets with expert professionals and gathers data from internal team members, trade associations and industry participants to identify and anticipate the sources and circumstances of risk to the company, its frequency and severity and how to best determine the appropriate response of the enterprise.
- Corporate Governance - Enforces existing corporate documents related to by-laws required by the state of incorporation including specific designation related to the authority to sign contracts, leases, loan documents, make material disbursements, sign employment contracts and other obligations of the enterprise.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 10 years experience in operations, management, or similar executive role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (BCompSc), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar degree from an accredited college or university.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Able to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color determination, and adjustment of focus.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
- Occasionally required to bend, twist, climb, kneel and balance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
