What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Accountant position at Viking Plastics?
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Lead and support lean culture development through participation in daily drumbeat meetings
- Accounting responsibilities to include but not limited to daily activities of A/R, A/P, cash receipts and cash disbursements
- Cost accounting activities
- Assist with month end close activities
- Assist with annual inventory count and reconciliation
- Assist with analysis and monthly review of financial statements
- Generate reports as needed
KEY ELEMENTS:
- Experience with ERP systems (Syteline/IQMS preferred)
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and financials
- Full support and leadership of lean culture development
- High standards of confidentiality
- Ability to get along with all employees, customers, and vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years’ experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
