Full Time Position
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for an immediate opening for Patrol Deputy Sheriff position. We are also compiling an eligibility list for future positions in 2022 and beyond.
Full time positions will have a set work schedule with the majority of hours on the evening shift (2on-2off, 3on-2off, 2on-3off (12-hr) schedule. For a full list of qualifications, please visit the Sheriff’s Office employment page, found at www.vilascountywi.gov; Sheriff’s Office tab.
Hourly Rate: $25.49 increases based on contract negotiations; lateral transfers are considered.

Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or has earned at least 60 associate degree level college credits or higher, or possess an Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, or related field from an
accredited college and capable of law enforcement certification in the State of
Wisconsin; must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be a Unites States Citizen.
