This job order is placed in connection with a concurrent H-2B labor certification application. This job opportunity is a bona fide, F/T temporary position for 15 Maids & Housekeepers from 4/1/2022 to 9/30/2022 with Village Realty Holdings, LLC, 223 Satterfield Landing Rd, Nags Head, North Carolina 27959; (252) 449-9240 or email laikl@vrobx.com. Clean rooms, hallways, lounges, bathrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways so that health standards are met. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, follow safety and sanitation policies. Clean floors, furniture and/or draperies. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Make beds. Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware. Replace light bulbs, replenish complimentary toiletry items such as linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas. Wipe down patio furniture & clean grill, remove debris from driveways and walkways. Observe precautions required to protect guest property and report damage, maintenance issues, malfunctioning equipment, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Complete all other duties as assigned by Director of Housekeeping as per SOC code 37-2012 (Maids and Housekeepers). Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Worksite 2 1075 Irvin Garrish Hwy, Ocracoke, North Carolina 26960 40 hpw, 8:30am – 5:00pm; Fri-Tues; extended daily hours and weekends are required; Wed/Thurs as needed. 30-minute unpaid lunch break per day within the 8:30 am to 5 pm schedule.
Employer paid drug test is Post Accident. Employer paid post-hire criminal background check. No experience/ no education. Work is supervised. Employer provides 10 days on the job training $12.23/hr; overtime is not guaranteed but if worked rate is paid at time and a half ($18.35) per hour above 40 hours per week. Raise/bonus at employer's discretion. Opportunity for higher pay based on experience/performance. Returning workers may be paid their previous end of season wage if higher than the prevailing rate. A single workweek will be used in computing the wage due. Payday is Bi-Weekly on Friday.
Shared housing available to only seasonal full-time employees. Housing is not offered to non-employees. Employees may make their own arrangements at their own expense. However, if they opt to live in employer provided housing they will be charged $75.00 per week. Utilities are included.
The employer will make the following deductions from the worker's wages: all deductions required by law, rent (where applicable), cash advances and repayment of loans, repayment of overpayment of wages to the worker, payment for articles which the worker has voluntarily purchased from the employer, long distance telephone charges, recovery of any loss to the employer due to the worker's damage (beyond normal wear and tear) or loss of equipment or housing items where it is shown that the worker is responsible, and any other reasonable deductions expressly authorized by the worker in writing. No deduction not required by law will be made that brings the workers hourly earnings below the FLSA Federal statutory minimum wage.
Return transportation and daily subsistence provided if worker completes employment period or is dismissed early by employer. Outbound transportation provided at most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation rates for distances involved, where applicable. Employer provides transportation from office to and from job sites located in Hyde, Currituck and Dare counties. There is no itinerary involved as there are multiple locations.
Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer provides at no charge all required tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job.

For workers eligible for the inbound transportation and subsistence reimbursement benefit, the Employer will reimburse workers who complete 50 percent of the work period (or with the first paycheck if applicable under FLSA) and who are beyond commuting distance the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment. The amount of the reimbursement for transportation cost will be the worker's actual transportation cost from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the employer's place of employment or, by regulation at 655.20(j)(1)(i), the amount not to exceed the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation cost for the distance involved, whichever is less. The employer reserves right to assist in coordinating transportation. Workers who do not avail themselves of such available transportation will be reimbursed only the per worker cost of arranged transportation or most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation cost for distances involved, whichever is less.
