Position Title: Childcare Center Program Director

Job Summary:
The Childcare Center Program Director is responsible for the overall management, supervision, and leadership of a childcare center's daily operations. This includes creating and implementing educational programs, managing staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Implementation:
- Design, implement, and oversee a curriculum that meets developmental and educational standards.
- Evaluate and improve program quality through regular assessments.
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and materials.
2. Staff Development and Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise childcare staff and teachers.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive work environment and team culture.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the center complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by regulatory bodies.
4. Parent and Community Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
- Organize parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events to foster community engagement.
- Address and resolve parent concerns and feedback promptly and effectively.
5. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the center’s budget, including monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
- Oversee billing, tuition collection, and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for fundraising and grant applications.
6. Operational Oversight:
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and staff.

7. Child Development and Safety:

- Implement safety and emergency procedures to protect children and staff.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or administrative role.
- Certifications: CDA/ACDS, CPR and First Aid certification. Director’s credential or equivalent.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with diverse populations and inclusive education practices.
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.
