Technical Responsibilities of the Job
The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Draftsman will work and design in AutoCAD almost every day.
- Draftsman will use Microsoft software like Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Draftsman will view and edit plans in Adobe and /or Bluebeam.
- Draftsman will download Plans, Worksheets and CADs files from File Share websites.
- Draftsman will navigate complex CAD file structures from all trades.
- Draftsman will read plans, such as Architecture, Structural, Civil, MEP and more.
- Draftsman will print plans, small, half scale and full scale. Refill copier and large plotter as needed.
- Draftsman will be self-sufficient.
- Draftsman will talk to and communicate with Villara Field Supers, Architects, Builders, Construction Managers, City’s etc.
Training/Certification
- Computer skills including intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Plumbing or related knowledge preferred.
- Intermediate mathematics to solve problems.
Education
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have AutoCAD Experience (either through the classroom or previous work)
- Revit experience preferred (either through the classroom or previous work)
