Vinco, Inc. is a rapidly growing electrical construction contractor. Business is great and we are looking for a dependable, qualified person to present and manage client electrical projects in the area.
Qualifications of the ideal candidate include:
- 10 years as an electrical project manager, estimator, or engineer. Must possess a proven track record of effective leadership of electrical crews on medium to large scale electrical projects
- Requires extensive experience in dealing with clients and building long-term relationships.
- Must be safety oriented
- Proficiency with MS Excel and Word is required
- Knowledge of estimation software preferred (e.g. McCormick)
- Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production, and coordinate people and equipment
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in electrical design and construction
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics at a high level of competency
- Extensive knowledge of value engineering
- Must have knowledge and experience in ground-up electrical systems and components including low voltage, power, lighting, distribution, generators, etc.
- Must have a high level of competency related to planning and layout of electrical projects
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Essential job responsibilities include:
· Identifies, meets, and develops long-term relationships with clients. Procures bids, ensures prompt response to client needs, sees through projects from inception to completion.
· Works with site superintendent and/or site personnel to interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related to engineering and construction. Participates in projects and supports superintendent in all aspects where required
· Works closely with the site superintendent to realize, prioritize and schedule short and long-term tasks to crews and continuously monitor progress .
· Interact closely with management team as well as estimators and automation technicians to ensure that project requirements and objectives are met.
· Works with the site team and design team to ensure that electrical installations are Code-compliant. Review plans and specifications in order to provide an end product that is overall compliant specific to design intent
· Work with site superintendent and/or field personnel in areas of purchasing and material procurement in a manner that maximizes value engineering.
· Provide administrative, technical direction and supervision to staff on completion of work
· Maintains and generates relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and material suppliers.
· Leads investigation and mitigation of project-related electrical issues and scheduling conflicts that may affect profitability
· Manages and supports contractor document submittals, budgets, and schedules
· Assist team in manpower planning. Target appropriate projects. Additional duties as required.
